Welcome
to the Tri Racial Genealogy Page. This site is
dedicated to the research and genealogy of
mixed raced peoples such as;
Melungeons,
Mulattos
, RedBones, Mestees, Brass Ankles,
etc.. My name is Christoher Moore and I have
spent a long time researching my own family's
genealogy, which was extremely difficult and
confusing. I hope to assist others in their
pursuit with tips, tricks and access to other's
infromation resources who have done this type
of genealogy.
Mixed Breed genealogy can sometimes be quite a task for a
person researching their heritage, especially when that person
is not aware that their family might have been a member of the
Redbones, Mestees, a Mulatto, Brass Ankles or Melungeons
groups. Mixed Breed or Mixed Ancestry, can be problematic for
a descendant to try and locate information on their ancestors.
My old site, Christopher Moore's
"Strat43z's Tri Racial
Genealogy Page
" was my first attempt at organizing and
assisting this type of ancestry for descendants, but the task
grew and time was limited to keep the page as I wanted to keep
it, so I've decided on a new site, Tri Racial Genealogy. Tri Racial
information has grown quite abit especially online and
publications. Ohio is my home state and I have found that many
mixed ancestries can be tracked down to Virginia, North
Carolina and South Carolina and follow their migrations through
Kentuck, Ohio and Indiana. Ohio has a large population of
person's with mixed ancestry, especially around the Greene
County area where I live. Ohio was, at one time, the New Frontier
and even considered the Promised Land by those who faced
persecution in the Southeastern states led by Quakers and
other religious groups who felt that all men should be treated
equal.

degree. It's what you do with your life that counts."
~Millard Fuller
Although I have started to diligently
work on completing these pages,
they are in-depth and require alot of
information that I have to include to
many of them. So, some of the
pages are not quite complete, some
have barely anything at all and none
of them are finished. I just hope that
getting this page online 'as is'
would inspire suggestions through
emails or Guest Book and the
Bulletin Board is ready for post,
queries and can be a useful too for
those seeking knowledge in this
type of research. Please feel free to
look around and get involved with
what you can and feel free to email
me with suggestions or criticisms
or things you would like to see on
this site.
